A B S T R A C T
A new method was established for simultaneous estimation of Ezetimibe and Atorvastatin by RP-HPLC method. The chromatographic conditions were successfully developed for the separation of Ezetimibe and Atorvastatin by using ThermosilC18 column (4.0×125mm) 5µ, flow rate was 0.7ml/min, mobile phase ratio was (70:30 v/v) methanol: Sodium acetate buffer pH was adjusted to 3 with orthophosphoricacid, as to maintain biorelevant media specifications detection wavelength was 252nm. The instrument used was Shimadzu LC-20AD, SPD-M20Adiodearraydetector and LC20 solutions software. The retention times were found to be 2.566 mins and 3.417 mins. The % purity of Ezetimibe and atorvastatin was found to be 100.7% and 101.4% respectively. The analytical method was validated according to ICH guidelines (ICH, Q2 (R1))
